Space2Grow#5 was 2018's large fund, with Young Barnet Foundation inviting applications from members for a share of £100,000.00 of funding, with a maximum of grant of £10,000 any one project.

This round of our Space2Grow Children and Young People's Fund has again been supported financially by NHS Barnet Clinical Commissioning Group along with John Lyon's Charity.

Having received 28 applications, all of which were suitable to present to the Independent Funding panel, the panel, which met on the 23rd August 2018 awarded 14 grants.

Summary of Awards
​
Our Time Foundation – (£10,000) - Supporting Young People whose parents have severe mental health issues.    
London Jewish Family Centre - (£9,993) - Funding 3 additional therapist and refurbishment of room to create therapy room.
  
The Boys Clubhouse - (£2,600) - Funding for the Business project, targeted to NEET/High risk individuals, addressing mental health and resilience issues.  
The Arts Depot Trust – (£4,500) - Girls focused project in the PRU looking at setting aspirational goals and targets. 
Exposure – (£5,118) - 6-month pilot working with LGBT+ young people to explore the issue sand mental health problems associated with it.  
ADDISS - (£8,870) – Support for young people with ADHD to explore and become comfortable with their condition.  
Learning through Horses – (£6,927) - 12-week employability and horsemanship skills course for young people who are excluded or at risk of exclusion.  
Jacksons Lane – (£3,859) One 12-week project with teenage boys exploring pressure on teenage boys. Upscaling of previously successful project working with Teen girls.  
Colindale Communities Trust – (£9,860) - Partnering with Art Against Knives to offer Nail Bar project on Grahame park.     
Grief Encounter - £5,156 -   Allows for partnership with Young Urban Arts Fund to deliver music-based workshops at the Grief Encounter drop in days.   
Afghan Association Paiwand - £8,073 – Partnership with Mousetrap to deliver drama-based workshops with participants of the Paiwand project. 
Barnet Community Projects - £5,152 - Producing junior leaders, through a structured learning process, to include social action helping at the Lunch Club delivered from the community building in Underhill.     
The 4Front Project - £10,000 – To allow for expansion of the project run on Graham Park (Mentoring, group sessions and boxing).    
Youth Realities – £10,000 – 3 x 8-week projects as addition to the 4Front Project, on Grahame Park, exploring toxic masculinity and youth domestic violence.
