Platinum Jubilee Art and Poetry Competition for Children in Barnet
To celebrate the Platinum Jubilee of Her Majesty The Queen and highlight the creativity of young people in the London Borough of Barnet, the Barnet Together Alliance is inviting all children between the ages of 5-16 inclusive who are living or studying in Barnet to enter a portrait of themselves, their family or The Queen, a card for The Queen or a poem about The Queen into a borough-wide competition.
An awards presentation and exhibition of a selection of entries will take place in the reception area of the council’s Colindale office. A winner and runner-up will be chosen from each of three age groups and prizes will be awarded as follows:
The overall winner will be awarded a voucher for £100 to spend on art/craft materials
Winners in the two other age categories will be awarded £50 vouchers
Runners-up in each age group will be awarded an art set
We want to encourage all children to take part in the competition. A link to a download containing full details including simple instructions and materials required, competition rules and guidance can be found below. Deadline for entries is 4pm on 24th June, 2022.
