FUNDING AWARDED FOR BARNET'S DISADVANTAGED CHILDREN

The Department for Education rolled out a ‘Holiday Activities with Food’ programme in every Borough and Barnet Council, as our Local Authority, Young Barnet Foundation and a number of partners have worked together to launch the Holiday Activity programme in Barnet. We are delighted to have awarded almost £12,500 to 12 local organisations to deliver enriching and physical activities with food for Barnet’s children during the Easter Holiday period, giving over 1000 places for local young people to access over the Easter Holiday period.

These activities are aimed at children aged 5-16 years old in receipt of Free School Meals but the programme can include support for children and young people facing hardship and those who live in areas known to have high levels of economic disadvantage, obesity or deprivation. The funded projects are listed on our website alongside other online resources and activities.
