Ursula's Day 4: Working with Exposure and Community Focus at Friary Park
Our meeting point for the day was at Friary Park. I helped Exposure out on their second ‘Exposure Asks’ with ARTiculate, a youth programme which is held at an all-inclusive arts centre called Community Focus who use their platform to enhance and celebrate the mental health and emotional well-being of 16 to 25-year olds in Barnet. Their task for the day was to write a few words on a board on their assigned topic which included things such as politics, music & dance, the seaside, sports and more. Martin and I did were given multicultural Britain to do and we came up with a few words to write on the board as well as a fact about how diverse Britain is and took a picture with the board to go up on the Exposure website.
Everyone was lovely to work with and it was nice to see all the young people involved in ‘Exposure Asks’ progressing and taking part in the activities that were set up for them in such a positive manner. I really enjoyed working with Exposure for the past few days and looking forward to hopefully completing their Award over the summer.
We want to give every young person the opportunity to achieve. We can’t do this without your help.
